Pretty Palm Coast
Yesterday marked 7 months since my beloved passed away. It's sometimes difficult to grasp that time keeps marching on and that the world keeps right on turning. My friend Linda gifted me this lovely remembrance, so Brian is traveling with me, not only in my heart, but in my car.
Today I drove 225 miles through Georgia and into Florida, to my aunt Jackie & Uncle Ed's house in Palm Coast. The rest stops along the way had some fun displays. Anyone who knows me is aware of my involvement with the sea turtle protection program on Oak Island, so of course I had to capture this loggerhead sculpture.
Ed & Jackie had a nice welcome for me & Brody. After lunch, Jackie and I walked around the neighborhood. So many hours of driving had me feeling stiff and in need of bolstering my step count for the day. While the air was cool, the sun was bright and strong, and I managed to top 8700 steps for the day. Ed grilled some yummy steaks for our dinner. I think they're trying to spoil me!
Hey. I remember them. Great hosts on my trip to Key West. Tell them I said hi
ReplyDeleteI just did, Pick. They smiled and remember you fondly!
