Valentine's Day Meanderings in and around Winter Garden

Valentine's Day started with receiving a lovely valentine from Linda & Steve, then we went to the brunch sponsored by their management at the apartment complex, where each person received a beautiful rose.

The three of us then drove to Windermere, where their son, Craig, and family live. We got to see Alison and Craig for a bit (their kids were in school), then we took a long walk around their gated community. A stroll to the "ritzier" section had one mega mansion after another. It's hard to wrap my head around such opulence. After all, too much of a good thing, is still too much.

We had a great afternoon, topped off with a late lunch at Yellow Dog Eats, a fun and eclectic local hangout that served up the best pulled pork sandwich, called "The Elvis," that I've ever had. Their cole slaw wasn't too shabby either.

All in all, I had a stellar "step count" for the day, with nearly 19,000 steps and 7.9 miles logged. Yes, I slept well that night.

  1. So glad you enjoyed this day. We’ll be ready to buy you that house in Keene’s Point when you return! (Maybe 😁). And we’ll rerun to Yellow Dog eats if you want to along some other new
    places.
